As hip hop exploded in New York City in the mid-1980s, a new generation of rappers and DJs began to blow up the radio. One of the most successful was the collective known as the Juice Crew. Made up of such artists as Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl, and Roxanne Shante, the crew changed the rap game forever.
